There are builds of Open Office that run on the Mac.
Want to be IN a computer game? I'm making one, and I want a picture of you! See here for details.

I've made three new adventures for TW1; you can get them at corylea.com/.

I've also made a bunch of mods that fix bugs, kill annoyances or tweak gameplay; you can get those at the Witcher Nexus.

Sweet, didn't know about that. I'll take a look into it. Thx!

Thanks SO much for these! I was rather annoyed to find that Sword of Destiny had not been translated and I hate to read them out of order.

I took the liberty of combining all the Sword of Destiny stories into one document and creating an English cover for them using the Serbian edition (my favorite cover for this book).

It's a nice thing and pretty useful :)
Nevertheless, did yopu asked permission to the original translators? I'm sure there's no harm in it, but it's better you do it. In addition, you should credit them in your files.

Just a quick update.
I have 9 pages left of Chapter 10.
I should have them done by this weekend.

Just so people don't think we have forgotten about them :)

Bless you, sir. Currently reading through Times of Contempt, which is a] a rollicking good read, and b] an excellent translation. Sapkowski's dry humour comes across and it's just... :unworthy:

Good to hear- just finished 9, can't wait! Thanks a lot for taking the time to do these translations, your hard work is much appreciated. :respect:

Awesome, thanks Asheral!

I'm starting to settle back in. I had the wedding, then the honeymoon, then catching up at work, and then moving into the new house. I'll probably still be busy this weekend, but I'm hoping to get back into chap 11 next week.

Since you do an excellent job, and on a completely volunteer basis, I think what isn't fair is for you to feel any pressure whatsoever.

But thanks loads for the new chapter! I've updated the first post in this thread to add the link.

Wow. That's a lot of life changes all at once! Even GOOD life changes can be stressful, so it's perfectly normal for you to need some time.

So, how was the wedding? And where did you go for your honeymoon?

Hopefully I'm not stepping on any toes by doing this, but! I converted Time of Contempt and Baptism of Fire and fiddled with the formatting a tiny but (some text was randomly hilighted in baptism of fire), as epub files, with proper metadata and such. I did it just for me so I could read them on my nook, but thought someone else might like to save themselves the trouble- Time of Contempt has the awesome illustrations still embedded and everything.

Time of Contempt - http://www.mediafire...45o78ci83j2ow57
Baptism of Fire - http://www.mediafire...iurdc07h20d683a

If anyone minds I can delete the links of course. ^^ I haven't gone through the files in their entirety yet, but I didn't see any errors when I skimmed through them (trying not to spoil anything for myself!). Thanks so much for all your hard work, everyone that's contributed to these. <3 After finishing the games I HAD to read the books, but only speak English, and you saved me from a very, very long wait.

Hey Asheral.

Whats this site that you have uploaded the file to? It wants me to install software just so I can download the file.

I originally thought it was a free file upload site like mediafire.
But mediafire has been wanting me to install software to upload stuff.

I'm not down with that.

But if filedropper is doing the same thing for downloads, that isnt cool either.

If anyone can think of a place I can upload these files, let me know.

Until then I suppose I can attach it to my posts.

Cheers

You can upload to mediafire without their software- you just have to have an account now, once you're logged in you get the usual upload dialog.

Would be better if you could upload it on an hosting site, like mediafire etc. , in case you clean your attachment file storage here in the forum. I've change the link in the firts post, redirecting to your latest post here.

On a cleaning note - I compiled the stories from The Sword of Destiny together (and changed the name Jaskier to Dandelion) so it's one word doc rather than six separate ones. Happy to upload it, although I'm not sure who translated those so haven't credited anyone in there.
