I apologize if there is another thread which I am sure there is. I cant even get past the first scene of game which I just bought from steam. Windows 7 64 pro on asus p5wdg2 with 9800gtx 4 gigs ram quad core, latest drivers and such. Was hoping some kind soul had already solved this and would save me a painful read.

Did you do a file integrity check through steam and also see if there was any updates to steam

do attach the file ERRLOG.TXT from The Witcher/System folder ( if the game crashed )

^ that deals with not launching, so idk if it will help because yours will launch, but crashes.

OP, do you have SP1 as well? just curious.
