I drink with her, she kicks me out

I give her a shawl  to keep her warm, she kicks me out

I give her gloves, she kick me out

I even think of going into Shani's place, she kicks me out

I'm sick of this crazy old hag. Enough already. Who knows how to best deal with her?

That nice lady downstairs? :-)

The best way to deal with her takes several steps, but it gets you in good with her.

1.  Win a drinking contest with Thaler.  He'll give you a book.
2.  Give the book to the bootblack that hangs around outside of Raymond's place.  He'll give you a ring.
3.  Wear the ring and show it to Shani's landlady the first time you meet her.  She'll think you're a priest, and afterwards, she'll greet you with, "Upstairs, Father!"

^ You've got to be kidding. I would never have thought of this. Thanks.

I usually avoid drinking in this game, but I'll give it a try.

I would never have thought of it, either -- partly because I also avoid drinking very much -- but I read about it here on the forum.

Wow. Never knew that. I did drink with Thaler cause I sometimes do that, but I would never have thought about giving the book to some guy standing around on a streetcorner. Will have to try that next time.

Think I gave her something last time I played, but sadly can't remember what it was. She let me in each time afterwards.

Money, probably. Large sums work exceptionally well on her.

I've always wondered what that book was for. I kind of remember Thaler said something like that: "That book is useful. Don't lose it". I kept it for a long time then sold it. Thanks Corylea.

Screw that. She's not getting my money. :(

I did the cheap thing and entered the house repeatedly until she just let me go up.

@slimgrin
About the bootblack. You have to talk to him on ALL subjects he has to talk about, and then tell him he doesn't talk like a bootblack. He ends conversation abruptly. Then for sometime he'll refuse to speak with you. When you talk to him next time, the "give" option will appear and he'll accept the book.
The lebioda ring sells for a pretty penny too, when the hag leaves the house for good.

Shani goes to work in the hospital after eating breakfast. You need to be aware of the time.

Go in at night. She'll be there then. If you need to talk to her in the morning, go visit the hospital.
