I was just wondering what the difference was between the original and the enhanced edition. I know that the enhanced      comes with the mp3 track, the directors cut and the alternative levels, but is there any difference between the gameplay or the quests of the original?

IIRC, there were 5,000 lines of additional dialogue recorded for the English Enhanced Edition. And the dialogue for the German Enhanced Edition was re-recorded completely. Add to that graphical changes to several NPCs.

But the improved inventory of the EE is the most important asset, I guess.

Definitely the new inventory!

And... the Drowners got  different colours. Many clone-NPCs got different colored clothes so there is a bit variety. Some of the main NPCs were revamped in their outlook as well here.
I can see what you see not, Visions milky then eyes rot.
When you turn they will be gone, whispering their hidden song.
Then you see what cannot be, shadows move where light should be.
Out of darkness, out of mind – cast down into the Halls of the Blind…

1. Much better dialogues
2. Fixed graphical glitches
3. Fewer bugs
4. Revamped characters
5. new playable modules
6. improved inventory system with "sort by component" feature for ingredients
In suspended animation.

I was curious about this myself.  I did hear how the inventory is better and some of the other things but I noticed Shamrockholt mentioned the directors cut.  How can I access this and what does it contain?

Director's Cut restores some nudity that was censored in the US version. If that's the version you have, and if pixelated T&A is for some reason a must for your gameplay experience, then you want the Director's Cut. Otherwise, you're not missing anything.

All desire to shirk,
Shall during off hours exhibit his powers
To Madame Tussaud's wax-work.

Well I saw plently of nudity.  Can't say I minded. It's a unique experience to battle naked magic ladies! Thanks for the response.

"And... the Drowners got different colours." Yes it is true and the Salamandra Assassins got different colours in their (that bald bandits in the Prologue). And that Bandits (who wear a hood-like thing) from the Prologue got different colours.
