Trying to complete 'hope burns bright' quest. Or reach the swamp. Or investigate the legendary armor. But I cant. Because everywhere are barricades.

I must be stupid, because I can't navigate past these barricades. Where do I go? I see the red dot on the map, just can't reach it.

Most of the barricades are stationary, but a couple of them are Aardable.  If you look at the ones that you can Aard, they look a little bit different.  There's a map on the Witcher Wiki that shows where the Aardable barricades are, if you need it, but just the clue that you can Aard a couple of barricades will probably be enough.

Lol...should have known, use Aard. I sometimes think this game is so unintuitive. Then I realize the devs just didn't want to hold you're hand.

You aren't going to go anywhere until you go to the Hospital and get Shani as she has to be with you. If not, Aard won't work on the barricades anyway.

Aard does not work on barricades.

I can see Toruviel behind a brick wall beside me, but i cannot knock down barricade with Aard.

Ive tried Aard on all barricades around map, doesnt have an effect on any of them.

[Shanni doesnt offer a dialogue option with me, she only says "They attacked the hospital! Unbelievable.]

Does Shanni  phisically need to be with me when I Aard the barricades?

If i remember right when you go out the back door of the hospital you should go left of the door then right . The Aardable barricades look a little different than the rest . The barricades you can use aard on sometimes have a wagon wheel that you can see with what also look like limbs

Thanks!  Youre right about "..wagon wheel..." being a barricade that can be Aard.

Funny thing is I tried to knock this barricade down initially, but was only successful AFTER I chatted with Toruviel through the brick wall barricade.

Great game, first real glitch I've ran into.

That comment about "the devs don't want to hold your hand" could almost be the motto of the game. There have been many places where I have been stuck and resorted to guides only to think to myself "doh, that was obvious, I should have seen it".

If is looks like you could jump or step over it, you can blast through it with aard.
