I just got to Chapter V today and I found the only basilisk I have encountered so far that seems to respawn regularly. In Raven's Crypt I meditate for about 24-48 hours and he is there each time as long as I go after midnight. I leave the crypt, and go to the fireplace by the refugee father on the Cemetery Island to meditate in between runs at the crypt. I think there were originally a few basilisks in that room but only one respawns. The Bruxa on Cemetery Island never respawn but 3 of the Garkain do almost every 24 hours.
Are there any other basilisks anywhere in the game that respawn?
I know the basilisks at Black Tern Island in Chapter IV never respawned for me. I tried meditating for several days at a time and they never came back.

Basilisks. Where do they like to be?

Raven's Crypt is one of the best places to maximize your exp points. You can meditate in the crypt itself to respawn monsters in there. However, according to Witcher wiki and my memory there is no other location that Basilisks will appear after that point of game.

You're welcome. Walking in the dark :) That reminded me, in one of my playthroughs I've beaten the crypt many times consecutively. Every once in a while I forget to make a cat or thinking I have some don't make a cat meditating and then continue in dark watching where Geralt's going from the minimap at the top right :D Well, maximizing xp is annoying.

yes, actually, once I have beaten it the first time and get the map, I never use cat potion or torches during the walk throughs of the crypts to gain XP. It's pretty easy to keep an eye on the mini-map and it has the added benefit of saving potions and making it incrementally more interesting since the monsters don't really present enough of a challenge.
