Can't get into cemetary (even after finishing suspect: thaler/vincent quests)

17.04.2010 @ 22:40 #1

So, I'm in Act II and can't get into the Vizima Cemetary. I just completed the Suspect: Thaler and Suspect: Vincet Meis quest lines, and I still can't do it. Talking to Thaler, Vincent, or The Gravedigger brings up no dialogue options that have anything to do with getting into the cemetary. I do, however, have the gravedigger's gratitude quest, which is currently at the phase that says "I need a permit to enter the cemetery. Thaler or the city guards should provide me with one". Well... neither will. How do I get in/why won't Thaler or Vincent help me out?

Coz you need to prove both or one of them innocent.
-To prove Vincent's innocence, go to the warehouse in the slums at midnight. Then come back to the Captain next morning.
-To prove Thaler's innocence resolve the autopsy or go to Shani's party. There's more than one way to prove him innocent.

You can also avoid entering the cemetery, coz you don't need to do it now, in act II. Just resolve the autopsy and find the real killer. Read this to know how to do it http://witcher.wikia...tomy_of_a_Crime.

Anyway, my suggestion's to prove Vincent's innocence, coz it's the easiest.
Good luck :)

I've proven them both innocent.
I've been to the warehouse at night and proven Meis' innocence.
I've completed the autopsy and found the proper killer.
I've finished Shani's party.
Still, none of them will say anything related to getting into the Cemetary. Like I said in my original post, I've proven them both innocent.

I don't know what's wrong of if it's a bug. I can tell you this: if you already find the killer, than preceed to the end of the act and don't dawdle trying to enter the cemetery. You don't really need to enter NOW, you'll do it in the next act. Just go to the mage's tower and meet Raymond. I suggest you to skip this part if you have a problem with the Gravedigger's gratitude. Sorry :)

I had this problem, too.  Couldn't get into cemetery and also the gravedigger would not take my dog tallow even after I killed all the nice poochies and got a quest update.

I got into the cemetery later, after finishing Act I.

I haven't got exactly the same problem because I haven't proven either of them innocent, but I've already resolved the autopsy and gone to Shani's party.  The only one I cleared that way was Ramsmeet, and the Detective wants me to kill him anyway.  I've also been to the warehouse at night, but that didn't clear Meis for me (guess I'm too suspicious!).

Hope it solves your problem. In addition to what I said there, since you have not cleared Kalkstein yet, do not initiate that conversation , regarding the investigation, with him. Some people had the problem where they accused him, he stopped talking, and the game got stuck. Do not talk ( regarding the investigation) to him till the whole investigation is complete.
In suspended animation.
