[ACT III] Beauty and the Beast - Virgin's Tears
21.01.2008 @ 01:18 #4
I need a little helping hand with the Beauty and the Beast quest. I've already spared Vincent, the Fools parsley shirt failed, talked to Kalkstein, gotten the potion, but now I need some virgin's tears. The journal just tells me to speak to townswomen. I spoken to almost every townswomen in the temple quarter and the only one who will talk to me becomes angry when I ask if she's a virgin. I rested for a while then came back to here, but the dialogue didn't change, she still becomes angry when I ask if she is a virgin. I understand its not exactly the question one would ask a lady in the street, but I can't really figure this one out.

I think there is only a small random chance that the women in the street will admit to being a virgin. ;)
When I did this, I thought at first that the best chance would be one of the little girls playing in the street, but none of them seemed to have a conversation option where I could ask them. ::)
Then I asked myself: "What kind of girls are most likely to be virgins in real life? Hmm... a religious girl?
I think that should be enough of a hint!

Maybe I've had too much to drink tonight . . . religious girl . . . around Lebioda's hospital is where I found the girl who becomes rude when I ask her if she's a virgin.

I readed somewhere around here that the easiest is to go to St Lebodia Hospital and ask a nurse.
I did another way. Wandering in Trade Quarter( yes, diary only says : ask a woman ...) I was with a group of 3-5 Noblewomen or else, it was raining, and in fact I was looking for a woman that asked me for a beast claw first time I spoke with her. This time, first and only dialog option was about virgin's tears, and yes, she gave me what I wanted ...

random townswomen are virgins too, (and geralt's incredulity at that is HILARIOUS), so ... i didnt think of asking nurses or siegfried, dang it, but just so people know, if you ask enough townswomen, the odds are eventually one will admit to it, and you can get the tear from her

Darn....... well, my Geralt can't ask her - 'cause he knows for sure that she'd be lying! ;)
Playing Witcher: "is this what being a man's like then?"

I don't think Geralt counts. Witchers are sterile right? So that means they can't actually have real sex. They can only make the motions.
I would say that judging by his reputation around town, that he does a pretty good job of "making the motions". ;D ;D ;D

I should hope so considering how many times he did it!

omg, being sterile doesn't mean you can't have real sex, it just mean no reproduction - no children.... Really, reputation around town says a lot :D so does the books.
SORTOF SEMI-SPOILER....
Though, if you play through certain quest bits involving Shani and then showing a certain ring to Shani's landlady, you get a truly hilarious dialogue involving first her accusations and then her great sympathy regarding Geralt's ability or lack thereof to compromise a maiden's virtue.....
