Right to the Throne is a short adventure focused on smooth action. Dialogues are snappy and your choices of replies are fewer. The overall plot is being told by our actions.

The original version of the adventure has been fully produced by one person, Piotr ‘Petteros’ Joźwiak. Soon after that, Petteros joined the team and started working with us on our projects. After some time we began thinking about polishing his adventure. The biggest changes can be seen in the main quests, which now make the plot flow seamlessly. And the gameplay itself is more pleasant with the completely new soundtrack. We improved dialogues, added new graphics. And an english version as well.

Languages: English, Polish
Play time: 1 hour

Features
  • an adventure focused on action
  • custom soundtrack
  • 3 new collectioner cards

Please let me present you with a trailer of a new adventure created by Piotr "Petteros" Jóźwiak in cooperation with Ifrit Creative Group.

Cool!  When does this come out?

Ooooh, cool!  A new adventure for The Witcher is always a treat.  I look forward to trying this one out.

(Playing Witcher modules usually makes me start itching to work on my own, so I haven't actually finished very many of the new adventures.  If I don't leave you any feedback about your adventure, that'll be why.  It's nothing against your adventure!)

I hope you're talking to the CDPR guys about announcing this in the News section.  Lots more people see that than read this section of the forum, and the various RPG news outlets monitor the News section but nothing else.

I'm sorry to report that I'm having a game-breaking problem with your adventure.

I'm in the battle that follows the confrontation between the two claimants to the throne, and the game has slowed down so much as to be unplayable.  By the time I try to hit somebody, they're actually somewhere else.

I've turned the graphics down to low, even though I didn't have to do that in the main game, but I've still got choppy, stop-and-go movement.  Geralt isn't even in slow motion; he's slower than that -- stop and go.

My computer played the main game fine, even in the Trade Quarter, which gave some people trouble.  It did the main game fine on higher graphics settings, even.  I had no trouble in the main game during battles between large groups, such as the Force Recon quest.

I also have a slow-down in your adventure on the main street of the country town, just walking through there.  This isn't game-breaking when nobody's trying to kill me, but I thought it might be diagnostic.  There aren't THAT many NPC's running around the Outskirts, so I don't know why your adventure brings my computer to its knees.  But it does.  I've turned off my anti-virus program and a bunch of other background tasks (which, again, I didn't have to do while playing the main game), but that doesn't help.

Thoughts?

I must admit that this is a little strange, especially slow-down on the main street of the country town, because, as you said, there's no so many NPCs. In the final battle there's more NPCs and they can be a problem for a computer, but I don't recall that any tester had so big problem.

Hmm, as I remember there are scabbards in this adventure, right? :P I heard that scabbards can slow a game, so maybe removing them would be a solution. To remove scabbards, delete from the module all wfx effects with names starting on "fx_slv" and "fx_stl". And please, let us know about the results. If this help, then maybe we'll release version without scabbards.

Yep, it was the scabbards.  Once I deleted those files, it ran normally.

I'll post a review after I've explored the game a little more.

Um, is the game supposed to just END as soon as you kill the main villain?  When I killed the villain, the screen went black for several seconds, then I got a sex cutscene, then the final credits.  No updating and completing the "Evil" quest, no watching the wraiths melt away, no thanks from Foltest, no words from Triss.  Is that how it's supposed to run, or did I miss something?

If you're planning to release a new version without scabbards, I'll send you a PM with a few things I noticed that you might want to tweak in the new release.

Good that removing scabbards helped :) We'll release version without scabbards as soon as possible, probably in a few days. I'm waiting on PM :)

After black screen and before sex card there should be a short explanation. Nothing more. I will look on this. That was the vision of designer, maybe a little to fast ending, but with this short explanation before sex card it should be clearer.

It was quite a dramatic change, from moving jerkily every now and then to a smooth, normal flow of movement.

It's that short explanation that wasn't there.  I pawed through the module in Djinni, and I saw two things:  The quest is supposed to update if you make the choice that I did (to side with F) after you've killed N.  The quest update is supposed to be
but I never got that.

The second thing I saw was that a script is supposed to run that prints a string from talk table on the screen.  I opened up the talk table, and there were several strings in Polish, but the table's English entries were all *****.  (That's not the forum's automatic censor blipping out a bad word; the table's English entries were nothing but asterisks.)

I don't know why the quest update isn't printing, but it looks to me like the English string isn't printing because there IS no English string. :-)

I answered on your PM, thank you for your help :)

Someone who was taking care of English version didn't do it properly as I see, we will have to punish this person :P Sorry for all the troubles, we will fix it as soon as possible ;)
