when reverend gace ring it fell , could not pick up .....what can I do?

You actually can pick it up, but it's difficult; the interface for picking up dropped items is tricky.

First, clear a space in your inventory, so you'll have somewhere to put it!  Then run your cursor all over the ground where the dropped item is.  When you're right on top of the item, the cursor will change and look like this:



You can then pick it up.  There are only a few pixels for dropped items, though, so you have to hunt fairly thoroughly to find them.


If you've left the area and then loaded that area again, the ring may not be there anymore.  If not, you can get the same ring from an old woman in exchange for some White Gull, though it requires a bit of hunting to find the right old woman.  According to the Witcher Wiki, "Beggar (looks like an Old woman): gives Geralt the Eternal Fire signet ring (even if you already have one) in exchange for a White Gull. This is a random, one time only conversation so keep trying if you don't get it the first time."

I'm quite sure you could also bribe the other 3 guys instead of using the signet ring.
I don't recommend it though, since money is irritating to earn at that stage of the game.

i don't think there's an option to bribe them, but i've never tried ... if someone knows definitively that it's possible, let me know  :peace:

Well, I said I was quite sure, 'cos way back when I first got the game, I did Odo's and Mikul's quests before I met the Reverend.
How I managed it I don't really remember, but bribe seems the most plausible.
