This mod allows player to switch character model to any of 176 models available in the game. After mod’s installation player will be given a quest item called Doppler’s Essence. It’s a potion which when used opens dialogue with the list of 176 models available to choose.

Doppler is a shapeshifting creature known from Sapkowski’s book.

Mod offers:
  • 159 human models,
  • 17 monster models,
  • dialogue menu with sorted list of models opened from a new quest item.

Supported languages: English, German, Polish.

Wow!!!

Flash, you really rock!

(I like playing as Geralt, but this is a really cool thing to be able to do!)

Also, you might want to inform those who haven't read Sapkowski what a doppler is. ;D

Want to be IN a computer game? I'm making one, and I want a picture of you! See here for details.

I've made three new adventures for TW1; you can get them at corylea.com/.

I've also made a bunch of mods that fix bugs, kill annoyances or tweak gameplay; you can get those at the Witcher Nexus.

Oh, yes... ::)

Doppler is a shapeshifter. He/it's not unique to the witcher universe but not very common creature in fantasy genre. You might also encounter him in D&D multiverse. Baldur's Gate is the other game I currently recall meeting a doppler. I could describe this creature myself but instead I'll just link to our invaluable witcher wiki: DOPPLER

Two informations: good one & bad one.

Good one: promo vid is available at YouTube.

Bad one: essential part of mod is ready, but we need several extra days for polishing up. Release date on Mod DB has been changed - now is October 11th.

Luvely!
I already like it a lot. Looking at the video I am impressed that the model is even changed in the inventory screen.
Now a few questions:
1: In the video the Bruxa (I think) didn't have any swords displayed until she went into fighting stance. Is this with all the models?
2: That is a looot of models. Will there be the possibility to choose (for example) Jehtro and the normal Guard model? Or because they look similar is only one available?
3: Is the "existence" (for the lack of a better word) of the shapeshifting device explained (or rather how Geralt gets his hands on one), or is it "simply" added to the inventory?

This looks great, thank you folks!

edit: Now I'm curious. This adds to the original game. I thought that djinni didn't allow any changes to the original "adventure". Or am I wrong here?

1. There are issues with monster models. Some of them are missing bones needed to attach the sword to the back.
2. All texture versions of the same model are available to choose.
3. It's added to the inventory. We haven't made any background story beside that it's a shapeshifter potion.

It doesn't. Mod is done as an addition to the game. Original adventure remains unchanged.

Thanks for the info, Flash.

Okay, this is probably only because I have never worked with djinni.
If the mod is an addition, wouldn't that mean that the whole "module" would have to be downloaded?

No, module is exact name for a package of files creating an adventure. In short module = adventure.

CDPR had to push back a release date.  Red Flame had to push back a release date.  So you're in good company. :-)

I haven't given a release date ... but I said I had "about a month's worth of work left" before play-testing ... and that was two months ago!

"OxCAFE?"  Huh?  What happened to "Kamil" and "Bonsaaay"?

Sounds very exciting  :o ... forwarded
I'm not quite sure... Is this a mod or an adventure?

Amazing.... de Aldersberg is very agile and fast in this heavy full plate armour (video)  ;D
I can see what you see not, Visions milky then eyes rot.
When you turn they will be gone, whispering their hidden song.
Then you see what cannot be, shadows move where light should be.
Out of darkness, out of mind – cast down into the Halls of the Blind…

Sounds to me like it's a way to play as someone else, so it's the same old adventure, just as a new character.  A mod, then, not an adventure.
