[act IV] Afther the battle with Dagon
06.09.2009 @ 05:18 #1
I've been running around for like 5 hours... The last thing I did was going to the small island with the sexy Lady, I killed Dagon and I got the new silver sword. Now what I am supose to do... I read walkthroughs all around, it says a main quest is suposed to start concerning the Order and the elves once I go back to the main land, but nothing happens. I tried to talk to virtually everybody I can, and nothing happens... I even tried to reload an older save file and went to the island again and beat Dagon again, and still nothing happens after I go back to the lakeshore.. Any guess? :(
edit: The quest The Ripples is finished in my journal, and the only main quest active is Alvin at "Gift: It was worth seeing the Lady...". The walkthroughs also say that White Rayla is supose to talk to me, but she is nowhere to find,

Yes I've done the Alina/Celina quest, I got the final reward from Julian. I tried going back to the Lady but she is nowhere to be found on the small island anymore.. is that normal? When I talk to Berengar he only can talk about my weakness because of my leg...
How is the quest with the elves suposed to begin?

No I didn't talk to the vodyan priest after that, and I didnt have the option to kill berengar or to let him live..
The vodyan priest is not at the Lady's statut anymore and Berengar is just sitting at his fireplace.
When I go back to the Lady's small Island, there is nothing and nobody.. Not even the lady actually. just a couple of wyverns.
What should I try to do now? Is it possible that the vodyan priest will come back later?
Right now I can't find the vodyan priest, the Lady of the Lake and Dandelion anywhere. Is it normal?

I've tried to meditate every hour of the day and night and the priest never appears
If anybody feels like trying to help me out, this is my save file. I hope somebody can find my problem...

When you finished "Ripples" you don't need the appearence of the friendly Wodjanoi Priest anymore – because this case is finished.
You received your update for the Alvin quest as well… finished all other quests. You have done all prerequisite to trigger "Free Elves" :hmmm:
There was(/is?) a bug… when you leave the black tern island you should see Rayla on the mainland, after you settled the case with Berengar (forgive him or kill him) on the island.
Sometimes (!) it works to take the boat and return to the island, (meet Berengar) and then go back to the mainland.

I can see what you see not, Visions milky then eyes rot.
When you turn they will be gone, whispering their hidden song.
Then you see what cannot be, shadows move where light should be.
Out of darkness, out of mind – cast down into the Halls of the Blind…

umm.. after trying all that, the priest never reappeared, and berengar never left his campfire...
You say there is/was a bug? Does that mean I can't move forward in the story? :(
edit: I never register anything I buy, I think its a waste of time. Would I get more help if I registered my game?
edit2: I'm using version 1.5.0.1304, and the witcher enhanced edition

I've had this same thing happen once, so I totally understand how frustrating it is.. White Rayla didn't show up for me, either, and I am sure it was because I didn't bring the Path of Destiny as far as I could before I killed Dagon and the Lady went away.
For starters, I downloaded your game and pumped it up to have a look/see. :) Then I compared your completed quests with a saved game of my own that fell at the same game point of time. I did notice one very distinctive thing.. You're missing the last two entries in the 'Path of Destiny' quest in the Journal. Did you carry your dialogs as far as you could with both Berengar and the Lady (when she talks about destiny -- and check your journal updates on this quest after each convo) before you went to slay Dagon? There's a specific exchange about destiny with her, and then Berengar responds accordingly, then Geralt responds back to The Lady with Berengar's answer. This will give you one of those two missing entries but won't clear the quest, and although I don't have a game to verify this, I think Path doesn't actually clear until you encounter Berengar on Black Tern Island (he just shows up, either on the main island or where the boat is moored) right after you receive the sword from The Lady. But since he is a no-show here, I'm thinking you may want to reload before Dagon, exhaust all the dialog options with her, run to Berengar and gab with him, then report back to her -- then go kill Dagon. Sorry I couldn't have better news, and I'm hoping someone else has a better explanation and idea for you. :( In any case, good luck...

I tried a lot of stuff you talked about, but nothing was able to solve the problem. I guess I'll just give up :(
Well there are 2 things you can do at this point then
1.Go to a later save with some luck you mite have a Auto save before you killed Dagon double check all the main quest and see if your missing anything.
Now if that dose not work then try step 2 .
2 Reg your game and go to the save game market and see of anyone has a save game that mite work for you
Does not matter how Long one lives What matter most is how we live
