i miss undertand ... i have the 1.4.5 ... and i'm looking for find this version 1.5 but you link only a XP/Vista upgrade, can I find a windows 7 version of that ??

Another way to verify you have the latest version is go to your witcher/system folder and hover your mouse over the witcher exe and a little box should appear with the numbers 1.5.0.1304 and that would mean that you do not need the 1.5 patch

I wonder if someone can help. I have installed the game and patched to version 1.4.5.1282, I am running windows 7 Professional. the 1.4 patch installs fine but when i try and run the 1.5 patch I get the following error

I have tried installed as Administrator and as normal
Also I have tried with and without Tages with no luck (although I have another game that uses tages anyway)

I have uninstalled and reinstalled completely and cannot patch to 1.5 although the game runs ok at the 1.4 patch i  ideally want the latest one, can anyone help?

Sorted: I downloaded the patch from a mirror site and it installed, obviously a problem with the patch on the developers site.

Strangely enough, the "official" download appears to be broken.  The file was anywhere from 97mb to 180mb when I downloaded it multiple times.  The file actually needs to be 372mb.  There's likely an issue with the server that's preventing the entire patch from being downloaded.

Until this is fixed, get it from fileplanet or someplace similar, and double-check the file size before you panic.

I tried to update to the 1.4 patch so I could add the 1.5 patch,but it is demanding that I add a language pack before I do the upgrades.AND THE LANGUAGE PACK IS TAKING 3 HOURS! This is all insane. I have the original game, in English,but it still wants the language patch.

Hi,I've downloaded and installed v1.4.the enhanced edition and the english laguage pack but when I try try to install v1.5 I get an error message unable to determine which version is installed any advice please? I may be on the wrong board if so accept my apologies.

The game version 1.4.5.1304 is the latest version . Steam should autoupdate to the latest patch but you can check by opening the steam library and right clicking the witcher  and verify data cache or check for updates.
