Is the integrated chip disabled in device manager ?
Under display adaptors you should have 2 listed the 5770 and the Intel chip . Going by you previous posts it would appear that the Intel chip is active . If so then you should have some software that controls the GPU switching .

Have you tried uninstalling the ATI drivers and restarting your computer and then reinstalling the drivers .

Do you have any other games installed and if so are they affected by the integrated chip or do they run on the 5770 card ?

Can you locate your Steam Witcher cd-key ? If so then try the backup from GOG
http://www.gog.com/en/witcher2/backup/ . I`ve seen some instances where this solved issues but not entirely sure if it will solve yours .

It still doesn't work =( installed the other copy and tried it in every compatible mode there is nothing there either, it's annoying that it doesn't even tell me what it thinks is not "up to the task"

That is really strange on why it`s not detecting the ATI card . If you open Device Manager and click Display Adaptors then click the driver tab it should say what driver version you`re using . Until then i`ll go back through both reports you submitted earlier .

I really appreciate your help! Under display adaptors there's only the 5770 one. Think it might be so wierd that i NEED to use the onboard one for this game? Ill look back in tomorrow, gotta get some sleep, work in just a few hours.

Yeah i responded to your email . Sorry about that . Not understanding why your AMD driver is such a small size 28 MB if i remember correctly . My nvidia driver package size when installed is 127 MB , quite a difference . Did you let windows do the update for your card or did you manually install the drivers ?

I manually did the drivers myself, there prob was some kind of installation by windows before, never the less this driver is installed by me.

I googled around some to see if there's something wierd about the size though didn't find anything concret actually. Could it be that nvidia drivers is always greater in size? 127mb sounds kinda big too.

At this point the only thing i can suggest is installing VIRTU and adding the game exe to use the ATI card . The following link will show you how to install and add game exe`s to the VIRTU control panel ,
