If you need to pay everytime you download something you might want to check into other alternatives like a local library , firehouse or even a friends internet connection . Anyway at the link are several voice packs for The Witcher . Sounds as though something in the patch went awry though as you should have at least English language .

Is there no other way? I do have the English Languagepack installed with the 1.4 patch and I do have a file named voices_3_00.bif in my data folder, which I think should be the voice file, maybe if I could edit some file or other it could be fixed? Because anything would be better than waiting for over 3 hours for downloading a file that may or may not fix my problem.

One thing you can try is opening regedit and expand each category as listed
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\CD Projekt RED\Witcher\Settings
Making sure that VoiceLanguage is set to three which should be English

OK you can try this . Right click settings and select New then string value then type VoiceLanguage and add 3 for the data value . When finished it should look like this
VoiceLanguage REG_SZ 3

It didn't work, here is the list of files i have in my data folder which I think might be related to the language, please see if anything is missing:

2da00.bif, cutscenes00.bif, dialog_(3,5,10-16,21).tlk, dialougues00.bif, fx00.bif, languages.2da, sounds00.bif, voices_3_00.bif

'cause I saw somewhere that a lang_3.key should also be there that I don't have.
By the way, thank a lot for the help.

Ok that one has integrated graphics . If it will play you will need to follow the steps listed exactly
Go to your install directory or where you installed the game to . Click Start then computer then click "C" to open then click Program Files (X86) and then open The Witcher then click the system folder now locate the witcher exe and once you find it right click it and select send to desktop . Now close all open windows . Find the new shortcut you just made and right click and select properties . Now click the shortcut tab at the top . Look down the window to the first section to where you see Target: and in the small box it should look like this
"C:\Program Files(X86)\The Witcher\System\witcher.exe"
Now to the far right and outside the quotation mark tap the spacebar one time and type exactly -dontForceMinReqs and click apply and ok
You want it when done to look like this
"C:\Program Files(X86)\The Witcher\System\witcher.exe" -dontForceMinReqs

Ok this is what i end up with:

"C:\Program Files (x86)\CD Projekt\The Witcher\System\witcher.exe" -dontForceMinReqs

It didnt work is said

"The program can't start because d3dx9_35.dll is missing from your computer. Try reinstalling the program to fix the problem."

I tried this the first time i downloaded it and got the same message so i uninstalled the game and reinstalled it.

I dont know if this will help any but i got this program from impulse. Should i move the witcher from the CD Projekt file and put it right into my program files?

No . Missing d3dx9 file . try this link
http://www.microsoft...91-50ceb6d8fa8d . Once downloaded create a folder and name it June 2010 DirectX then unxip the downloaded file to this folder otherwise you`ll have files scattered all over the place . Once you have the files in the folder then open and run setup .
