I have two questions regarding Act V:
1. I can't seem to find any contract boards like in the other four acts. I have seen contracts mentioned in spoilers, but somehow I have missed the initial contract locations: where do I find the act V contract board?
2. Whom do I need to talk to to access my storage? There doesn't seem to be an inn, so no innkeeper, so....
Thanks in advance!

The contract board for Act V is outside the field hospital Shani has setup in Old Vizima. It's near the front door. If you took the Neutral Path, then you would have been forced to enter the hospital via the back door so you may not have seen it.

Yikes :( Dandelion was your only access to storage in Act V, and he will remain outside on the Dike for the duration of the chapter and is therefore inaccessible. All your storage transactions needed to have been conducted with Dandelion before you entered Old Vizima. Unless you have specific requirements or have rare items in storage, a great deal of alchemical ingredients are available for the scavenging Witcher, though :)
There is a mod out there that turns Kalkstein into storage, I'll see if I can dig up a link.
edit: Storage mods page on the wiki. As per the wiki page, if you do change Kalkstein's merchant status to storage, you'll lose the ability to buy and sell with him.

You are talking of the last part where one has to fight through the burning Vizima towards the Church?
Huh?
That makes no sense since there is no "church" in burning Vizima (Act V). Just a Hospital. Unless the hospital used to be a church...

Eh, I've got no mod installed. But I could access my storage through Kalkstein.
To set this in concrete:
NO non-modded installation of The Witcher has Kalkstein providing you access to your inventory in Act V (or any acts for that matter).
@Granjow This means that you are either mistaken, or you have a non-standard (hacked) game / installed a mod recently.

Ok folks since we are asking questions here. I've got a couple for you. The last thing for which I need to complete the armor is an Elven song or some such like that there. According to the quest tracking this is located in the Stirga's tomb. Which means that I'll have to do the Princess Adda and the Stirga quest. Now isn't this the last major quest of the game other than finishing off the Salamanders and Javed? If this is the case than what use is the Ravens armor if it's only good for a couple of fights and than the game is done and over with? This makes no sense to me just like fact of not getting the good swords till almost the end of the game. This here I think was done backwards if you ask me.
IMO you should have gotten the items earlier in the game so that you'd at least get the chance to use them in more of the game. Say in Chapter 2. At least in other crpgs you get some of the better equipment earlier on in the game to where you at least have the benefit of using it.

Agreed ...maybe not act 2 but definitely before act 5
Act 5 is rather short as compared to 2, 3 , 4 and i would have liked to have gotten it by no later that act 4 . However you can get it fairly early in act 5 if you concentrate on the armor as your primary quest and kind of ignore as much as possible other quests until you have your armor and then complete them. The main quest as far as javed is a pretty long quest and you still have the epilog to do as well .

Well now will have to admit that I've got the Witcher quests all done from the board and gotten everything for which I need for the armor cept for the Elven song and I've got to do the stirga quest in order to obtain that there. And from what I heard you can't just go in and get the Song and come back and do the Stirga quest later as I think that would have benifited Geralt if he decided to battle her instead of curing her.
Well true maybe say maybe in act 4? I hope that this at least is changed in TW2. First game for which I've played that you don't get something like this till late in the game.

From what i`ve seen once you go in you are in for the long haul so to speak. No i was speaking mainly of the side quests. It will be good to know exactly what carries over in TW2 and with what benefits the armor gives but with being able to craft different armors i`m not sure that IF ravens carries over it may be of very little benefit stat wise. But time will tell.

I know that I read somewhere that you will be able to import your Geralt into the game that you last played through and finished TW1 with. But as far as equipment goes i.e. swords, armor etc it didn't say. If that were the case than I would think that the version of Ravens armour for which you had made and used to the end of the game would be carried over as well as for his current Steel and Silver swords as well. This has been the way for which it's been in previous cprg's for which I've played that have had sequals. But only the dev's know the answer to this for sure.<G>
Currently I'm using the Silver sword for which you get from the Lady of the Lake and the Steel sword that you get from the huntsman in the cave. I've also got another steel sword though right off can't remember which one it is as I don't have the game loaded. When I play it later I'll try and remember which one it is. Can't figure out the reasoning for 2 steel swords though.
With this being my 1st time through the game I'm stilling learning allot of the potions and such. So I will be playing it through a few more times so that I can grasp everything the game has to offer. I know I missed a few things the first time through.
