PM Where can I find the book or other source of information needed to get the Garkain entry in the beastiary? I kill the garkins but I can't harvest the saliva. I am in Chapter 5.

Either :
* Vampires: Facts and Myths or
* Physiologus
will give you the entry, or chatting with at least one of the "diseased men" at the field hospital and giving him something to eat

my goodness Michberr ... are you interested in playing or having everything simply served up in an easily consumable form ?
but to answer your question, if you are already in Act V, i don't believe there is anyone who sells the books .. certainly, no one sells the physiologus at all, it is a gift from a random townsman in Act III.
the Vampires book was available in Acts II-IV
but you diseased man at the field hospital is still ok :peace:

And... it's always worthwhile to have a look in the Witcher wiki, it's more than dry bunch of words but lots of knowledge :beer:
