Yes, everyone is always donning these metal jkts who are pounding and hacking away w/axes and swords but here's Geralt in his broken in leather vest. I think i'll wait on that quest later on and save the 5,000 oren but i will consider the need if I get to other Acts and really see how much difficult it is to fight w/out it. Right now I feel confident that at my level of talents and expereince most dont have a chance w/he potions and bombs no matter what the armour. Ill be interested in that quest which provides some form of protective armour/jkt later in the game tho.
Petra-another noob quest: quickslots, does this just mean 2 more slots for potions or something literally easier and quicker to allow consumption of the potions that only the jkt provides. Im thinking you mean its simply two more slots for storage-which of course is always good....
ssssssssssssssss
[Act V] Too many swords...

Quick slots are those that are not part of the main inventory. They are displayed on the left hand side of the screen, so you can quaff a potion (or use a bomb) without having to access the inventory screen. The leather jacket has 1, excellent 2, and the best armour available for Geralt in the game 3 slots.

I see, you learn something new all the time. I always prep the potions and bombs in the inventory and then have to pause the game and R-click in the potion inventory hen unpause and watch as he drinks it down...so the quick slots on L-side where all swords and things are located...how do i drag a bomb or potion there? The same way as storing other things like we do at the Inn? Does it go there automatically and i must select which I want somehow? Yes, you'd think id know this by now... :hmmm:

If you mean the quick slot, yeah just open up the Inventory window and drag the potions / bombs onto the slot you want.
Back to swords, I think Gwalhir is available for purchase back there? for around 3000 if I remember right
I missed the quest with Antoinette / Jean Pierre, thus haven't get around to the best steel sword. Also moonblade sounds liek very good idea since most monsters to the end of the game are immune to effects and only susceptible to silver...

I think Gwalhir is only available from the human blacksmith in Murky Waters.
I can see what you see not, Visions milky then eyes rot.
When you turn they will be gone, whispering their hidden song.
Then you see what cannot be, shadows move where light should be.
Out of darkness, out of mind – cast down into the Halls of the Blind…

Yes he has it but I have the Harvell which i just got in Act III - i havent used the red metorite on it but maybe i should. However I could purchase this sword in this act that im in Act IV now but know that I may have option to get a special one from Lady of the Lake and dont know if i want to spend the orens on the Gwalhir and reforge w/red mteorite. What do you think?

You can't.
If you already have one meteorsword and want a new one with different ores, the blacksmith forges the new meteorsword from a new plain steelsword. If you carry your old meteorsword and Harvall and 3 ores in your inventory, he forges the new meteorsword and won't touch your old meteorsword nor the Harvall. Eventually then you have 3 swords: your old meteorsword, the new meteorsword and Harvall.
I checked it because I never tried it but now I know ;D
