She is never explicitly identified, but all clues indicate that she is Philippa Eilhart, another very powerful sorceress and member of the lodge to which Triss belongs

Nice pic of Triss' arse!  ;D

Annoyingly, you never find out what her convo with the girl in the mirror is all about, as Triss never tells you  >:(
The difference between a circus and a brothel??

One is full of cunning stunts, the other......

Not exactly, but there are a bunch of clues if you follow the neutral path all the way ... then you find out a bit more, but nothing concrete

Triss would help Gerald anyway .
It were kinda cool thing if Triss tells Gerald about hers discutions with the witch
in the mirror (of course, only if we choose Triss instead of Shani) ;)

It could be any sorceress at all. The only other one mentioned in the game is Philippa, that's why i chose her :) ... certainly if she's meant to be someone else, that is not ruled out

She's someone high enough in the League of Sorceresses to give orders to Triss, which suggests that she's a very powerful lady, indeed.

I think the other sorceress is at any rate a good friend of Triss. I doubt Triss would face a person of respect and authority dressed in a negligee  ;D

This is Triss -- she might well dress in a negligee to be distracting.  :)

... even if he talks to this powerful sorceress?  :hmmm: okay... Triss might got the "call" whereas she gave wound treatment to Geralt.

I believe it's Philippa Eilhart because when Geralt talked to Radovid via the telecommunicator the king mentioned Triss and Philippa in the same breath.

Whoever this woman is Triss lied about it to Geralt and I  don't trust her anymore.
The woman specifically said "Don't let Geralt know what you are doing" or something similar. Then when asked about it Triss lied..

so .... One big mark against Triss in my books.
A leaf fluttered in through the window this morning, as if supported by the rays of the sun, a bird settled on the fire escape, joy in the task of coffee, joy accompanied me as I walked.

In chapter 3  when Geralt coming to in Triss's house who is she talking to in the mirror ?  I first thought it was Adda. This was something that never seemed to come to light through out the rest of the game . I seemed like it was an interesting sub plot . :hmmm:

You have the answer to your question in the very topic you're posting. :p

Okay, I agree it's not really an answer, but it's what is known anyway.

I am 99% sure, that girl in a mirror  is Keira Metz, sorceress and  King Foltest's advisor.
BTW: Franceska Findabair is an elf.

Whoever she is, I think what's even more important than her identity is what she and Triss are talking about.  "Never let the witcher guess what you keep from him."  Well, what is it?  That's just one of the questions I'd like to see answered in The Witcher 2 -- what are the sorceresses plotting, how is Geralt involved, and can he trust Triss, or can he not trust her?

yes, that one line definitely stood out for me especially on my first play through ... i had been wondering what happened to Triss after she left at the end of the Prologue and was really glad to see her in Act III, but then ... that conversation ... i was left thinking "hmmm ... did i completely misjudge her?"

It's quite possible that Triss is lying to the woman in the mirror, rather than to Geralt, but by the time the game ends, we still don't know.  I really hope the whole "what are the sorceresses plotting, how is Geralt involved, and can he trust Triss, or can he not trust her" question is answered in TW2.  There are SO many unanswered questions at the end of the game -- if this game weren't so wonderful otherwise, that would be a deal-breaker for me.

Could the person in Triss' mirror be the head sorceress of the lodge? I can't remember her name now.

Or could she be Yennefer? Other posts do substantiate the link between the 2 sorceresses. Anyways...  just an idea :peace:

I think the sorceress is a friend of Triss and maybe from the Lodge, perhaps Phlippa Eilhart. But it's definitely not Yennefer because she is supposed to be dead like Geralt or at least lost, missing… I can't imagine that Yen is alive, Triss knows about it, talks to her but keeps the info away from Geralt. On one occasion Yen made clear to Triss who is the woman at Geralt's side  ;D though both women don't really hate each other.

I don't believe Triss plots something against Geralt and this mysterius sorceress is in the loop. In this ingame case she conceals something from Geralt but I can't imagine that's something which could harm him. She loves him and doesn't have the heart to hurt him… at least the novel-Triss  ;)
